Simone Biles (born March 14 1997 Columbus Ohio U.S.) American gymnast who was considered among the best athletes. Biles as well as the younger of her sisters Adria was adopted by Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles' grandparents in Spring Texas (in the Houston area) and grew up in the Houston area. Simone was first drawn to the sport of gymnastics when she was just 6. Her coach Aimee Borman invited her to Bannon's Gymnastix which was where they went for an excursion. Biles was awarded a gold medal in the floor and bronze in vault during the women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010. She then stepped into the elite competition in 2011. In just two short years, she had become the top athlete in her field. Biles was distinguished by her consistency in performance, vivacious persona, and the difficulty of her routines in the four events she competed in: vault, uneven bars, and the balance beam.
