Andrea Joy Cook

A.J. Cook A.J. Cook, an actor from Canada, is a Canadian actor most well-known for his portrayal of Jennifer Jareau (JJ) for The Criminal Minds and The Virgin Suicides in 1999 and 2003 respectively, has also been known for various characters. Cook's TV credits include Dead Like Me, Tru Calling, Higher Ground, Bluemoon, PSI Factor, Goosebumps, Elvis Meets Nixon, In His Father's Shoes, Laser Hawk and the film for television Island Heat. She was also in the film features Blood Suckers, Final Destination II, The House Next Door, Out Cold, Ripper, The Virgin Suicides, Kisses and The Tinker. Cook was brought up in Whitby Ontario, Canada, through her parents Sandra and Mike who were both teachers at school. Cook grew up alongside the rest of her siblings Angela, Nathan and Paul. They were raised as the daughter of a Mormon, or member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. When she was a small girl, she learned tap, jazz, and ballet dance. She was a participant in numerous contests for dance, however it wasn't until she reached 17 years of age before she decided to take up acting. The movie Dirty Dancing starring Patrick Swayze was the catalyst for her becoming an actress. Cook was married to partner Nathan Andersen in August 2001. Cook met Nathan Andersen at Utah Valley University and took a film class. They have their son Mekhai Allan Andersen, born on 13 September 2008.
